Privacy Policy

Last updated August 2026

This policy explains what data amkep collects when you create an account, publish a bio page, or visit a page hosted on amkep, and how that data is used and stored.

1. Data we collect

  • Account data — your email address, display name, avatar, referral code, plan tier and billing status.
  • Page content — the titles, bios, links, blocks, images and background media you publish.
  • Analytics data — page views, link clicks, approximate location derived from IP, referrer, device/user-agent, and timestamps.
  • QR scan logs — when a dynamic QR code is scanned we record the QR code identifier, timestamp, user-agent and approximate location so creators can see scan analytics.
  • Network data — referral relationships, exposure credit ledgers and cross-promotion impressions.

2. Visitors to bio pages

When someone visits a public amkep bio page we log the view for the creator’s analytics. To keep credit awards fair we create a short-lived fingerprint from the visitor’s IP address and user-agent so repeat visits within 24 hours are counted once, and we filter out known bot traffic. We do not sell visitor data and we do not build advertising profiles.

3. How we use data

  • To operate your account, render your pages and enforce plan limits.
  • To produce analytics dashboards for creators.
  • To power the cross-promotion network and calculate exposure credits.
  • To detect spam, fraud and abuse.
  • To send service, security and billing emails.

4. Storage and processors

Data is stored in our managed backend infrastructure (Supabase — Postgres database, authentication and object storage for avatars and background images), together with our hosting and email delivery providers. These processors handle data on our instructions and under their own security controls. Access to production data is restricted to authorised operators.

5. Retention

Account and page data is retained while your account is active. Analytics and QR scan logs are retained for as long as they are useful for reporting. When you delete your account we remove your pages and personal data, retaining only what is required for legal, tax or abuse-prevention purposes.

6. Cookies and local storage

We use cookies and browser local storage strictly to keep you signed in, remember interface preferences and store an in-progress page claim. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

7. Your rights

You can access and edit most of your data directly from the dashboard. You may also request a copy of your data, correction, or deletion by emailing privacy@amkep.com. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR or CCPA, including the right to object to processing or lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

8. Children

amkep is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country). We delete accounts we learn belong to children below that age.
